Social Programme

In order to facilitate networking we are planning a variety of social events ... these will include night-outs in Las Vegas, informal gatherings at the Monte Carlo pool or the Brewery pub, dinners at buffets etc. With regard to a tight budget and the conference dedication to sponsor students and academics from lesser developed countries, unless otherwise stated explicitly many of these will require you to buy your own lunch, dinner or drinks. Please see below for additional information ...

IMPORTANT NOTICES !!!

Should you wish to attend any of the following events please CONTACT the social programme coordinator Ms. Freya Staack (email: events@dmin-2006.com ). Please indicate the events you plan to attend and the ones you are not planning to attend to allow for coordination. You can of course decide to join all events ad hoc in Las Vegas - but be aware that some events (Studio54 & Voodoo Lounge) require YOU to make YOUR RESERVATION YOURSELF & PAY ONLINE to ensure entry!!! In addition if you have any question regarding the social programme please do not hesitate to contact her. While some events are also open to attendees of other conferences many are reserved to those registered at DMIN'06. If you wish to bring someone a spouse (travel partner), colleagues etc. along to one of the events please indicate this to the social programme coordinator Ms. Freya Staack beforehand!

You will be provided with DMIN'06 lapel pins (see on the left) to identify you as a DMIN'06 speaker or student. Please wear your pin during the conference and to all social events as it will serve as a means of identification. At many events (e.g. bar, conference dinner, lunch in food court etc., please look for DMIN'06 pennants (small flags, see on the right).

For all evening events in bars & discos proper dress is required. Please make sure to wear appropriate Las Vegas evening attire (no sandals or flip flops, no sports shoes, no white tennis shoes, no hats or caps, no white t-shirts, no tank tops, no baggy pants, no shorts, no athletic or gym wear of any type, no t-shirts with round collar - only polo-shirts with collar are permitted, no shorts). Ideally wear black trousers & black shirt / polo shirt to avoid trouble at entrance and allow easy spotting of DMIN'06 members. Also make sure to wear your DMIN06 pin at all times to easy identification by other DMIN'06 members. (email: events@dmin-2006.com )
